The Black Mantle was created in August of 2005 and, after four years, still maintains good levels of activity, even though we lost the bulk of our membership. We are a guild of 13 at the moment, and recruiting has proved difficult as the game aged. Even with our activity at record lows, we host weekly events on the various aspects of the game (focusing on PvE for the most part), and try to keep our few members busy. Our main goal is to keep the guild afloat and establish a tight community, in preperation for Guild Wars 2.

BM is a part of the DarkJedi Organization (DJO). The DJO is a community site that hosts clubs (guilds/clans), web pages and various services and resources for all kinds of online games. It is managed by players, for players. All members of staff are or have been at one point members of at least one club.

The DJO and the BM share the same structure, which is of military type, with a distinct hierarchy. This system has proved to be one of the main reasons why clubs last. The first DJO club ever was created for the game X-wing Vs TIE fighter in 1997, and its still healthy today, even if the leadership is changed. The clan name is TIE Fighter Alliance (TFA).
Its this kind of lasting feeling that makes the DJO so special.

Unlike our structure, our policies are very laid back. Our only requirement is friendliness, politeness and the will to enjoy the little things.
